It's Germany's oldest mosque in use, situated in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. It was designed in 1925.
During Nazi time they succeeded to exploit the Islamic community and abusing the mosque for propaganda appearances with Mohammed Amin al-Husseini (he actively collaborated with both Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, meeting Adolf Hitler personally and asking him to back Arab independence).
At the end of World War II, the mosque was severely damaged, because the German machine gunners had taken up position on the minarets and the mosque therefore came under the fire of the Red Army. The minarets collapsed, but they were rebuilt in 2001.
